xPre-Bed Procedure
For a small additional fee to your Carbotech brake purchase, get your pads Pre-Bedded to extend their life and improve performance. What is "Pre-Bedding"? Contrary to popular belief, bedding is NOT the transfer of material to the rotors. That's material transfer. Bedding is actually the process of burning off some of the chemicals in the pad material itself. When you bed pads at the track, you need to get them up to temperature high enough to start burning off those chemicals - while simultaneously transferring the material to the rotor. Having the pads pre-bedded burns off those chemicals in advance and allows quicker material transfer to the rotor, extends the life of the pad and sets the pads up to be immediately at full braking potential.
Pre-Bedding is performed directly by Carbotech Performance Brakes in their manufacturing facility and adds about 1 day lead time to shipping.
Pricing is for each set of pads.

We offer free UPS Ground shipping for most products on orders over $100 within the Continental U.S. purchased at list/retail pricing.
Larger items (e.g., seats, fuel jugs) and overweight items (e.g., brake rotors),
as well as discounted special offers
, may incur an additional shipping charge.
If additional shipping charges are required, we will contact you to confirm prior
to processing your order.
Rates & Eligibility
- Orders under $100: $15 flat-rate ground shipping will be added.
- Orders over $100: Please choose the Free Shipping option at checkout.
- Seats & large items: Always incur a shipping charge.
Processing & Delivery
If the order is received by , we can usually ship it the same day. Delivery is typically within 3–5 business days, depending on the destination. Expedited shipping may be available depending on the item.
Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday or Sunday, except by prior arrangement.
